Privacy Notice.

Bedrock Services Ltd. ("we", "us") operates bedrockdiggers.ca. This notice explains what personal information the site collects and what we do with it, as required by British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What we collect

• Order form. The form on the home page asks for your name, an email address or phone number, and where to deliver. It does not send anything to our web server and does not use a third-party form service: when you tap "Order My Digger", the site opens your own email app with a pre-written message addressed to info@bedrockdiggers.ca, and you decide whether to send it. The site also keeps a copy of what you typed in your own browser's storage on your device (so it is not lost if the email app fails to open). That copy never leaves your device; clearing the site's data in your browser removes it.
• Email and phone. When you write or call, we receive your name, contact details and whatever you tell us about your order (delivery location, questions).
• Card payments. Card checkout is coming soon. Once it is live, if you choose to pay by card, you pay on a secure payment page hosted by Stripe. Stripe collects your name, email, phone, delivery address and card details on its own page. Card numbers never reach our website, our email or our staff — we only see that the payment succeeded and the order details needed to deliver. Bank transfers and in-person payments give us only what your bank or receipt shows.
• Hosting logs. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, keeps standard edge logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, date and time) for security and to keep the site running.

Cookies and browser storage

The site sets no cookies of its own, uses no advertising trackers and no social-media pixels. It does store a few things in your browser, on your device only:

• Cart and order backup — your cart and a copy of the order form you filled in, in your browser's local storage. Never sent to us.
• Offline copy of the site — a service worker saves the page, styles and photos in your browser's cache so the site loads fast and works offline. It contains no information about you.
• Admin-only stock page — the private page our staff use to update the "in stock / sold out" status stores a device token on the admin's own device for 90 days so the PIN is not re-typed. Visitors never receive this token. To block PIN guessing, failed attempts on that page are counted by IP address on our host for 15 minutes and then discarded.

Any traffic measurement on this site is done by Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and does not identify individual visitors. Page fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser sends its IP address to Google when it fetches the font files.

Why

• To answer your enquiry, quote delivery and the exact tax, and deliver your Digger.
• To honour the 90-day build warranty and handle any safety or support question about your machine.
• To keep the records the law requires (orders, invoices, warranty and product records).
• To keep the site secure.

Who handles it for us

• Hosting, CDN and DNS: Cloudflare, Inc. — serves the site, keeps the edge logs above, and stores the site's stock counter.
• Email: mail to info@bedrockdiggers.ca is routed through Cloudflare Email Routing to our mailbox at Microsoft Outlook.com (Microsoft Corporation).
• Payments: Stripe Payments Canada, Ltd. — Stripe's privacy policy applies to the data you enter on its payment page.
• Fonts: Google LLC (Google Fonts).

These providers may store data outside Canada (mainly in the United States); they are bound by contract to protect it.

How long

• Enquiries that do not become an order: up to 12 months, then deleted.
• Orders, invoices and warranty records: 7 years (tax law).
• The cart and order backup in your browser: until you clear it.
• Failed-PIN counters on the admin page: 15 minutes.

Children

The Digger is for kids and grown-ups, but this website and its orders are for adults. The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Your rights

You can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (unless the law requires us to keep it). Write to info@bedrockdiggers.ca. You may also contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
